Gol Girls initiative exists to elevate black girls in Brazil from poverty to empowerment, using sport as a powerful tool to open doors and make dreams come true. We focus on black girls from marginalized areas because we want to support them on their path of discovering the world, building self-esteem and occupying all spaces.
By coupling personal development skills and sports curriculum, girls from different favelas in Brazil will be boosted to achieve more steps to career and education, amplifying the possibilities and dreams.
Creating a network of women who support and elevate other girls, where one rises and pulls the other, walking together on a path of better opportunities and a dignified future for girls in situations of social vulnerability.
Our girls are black girls between 14 to 17 years old, from favelas, in Brazil, that study in public schools and need role models women to be inspired and dream with many possibilities of future.
Our women are all women that understand the importance of seeing reference to know and dream with other possibilities beyond the same neighborhood, favela, environment. Women committed to breaking the poverty chain, that in Brazil makes it necessary nine (9) generations for a poor person to achieve the medium class and makes the black woman the basis of social inequality.

Let’s Gol Girls!
Gol Girls Project (GG Project) is founded by Renata Siqueira, aa black girl from the favela of Rio de Janeiro who grew up, overcame several challenges and wants to facilitate, together with other women, the access of black girls and favela residents to opportunities and dreams that, in Brazil, are blocked by racism, sexism and the large social inequality.
GG was born from the Global Sports Mentoring Program, a program carried out by the American Department of State, in partnership with the University of Tennessee, which encourages women leaders in sports in different countries to carry out projects in favor of other girls and women.
It is possible to break the vindication of poverty, it is possible to build a better future for Black girls, and anything is possible when we do it together.
To be an ecosystem where black girls feel safe, proud of who they are and encouraged to dream, do and be whatever they want, being supported by inspiring women who open doors and create collectively a better future for all of us.
